7th Battalion, 51st Highland, the Royal Regiment of Scotland (7 SCOTS) are a Scottish infantry unit. They recruit from the Highlands and Northern Scotland with subunits across the northern half of Scotland and most of the personnel who serve with them are Army Reservists, combining their Army service with another job. Their Headquarters are in Perth and their Royal Colonel is Prince Charles, the Duke of Rothesay.
7 SCOTS have been part of the Royal Regiment of Scotland since its creation in 2006, prior to that their antecedent units have a long history stretching back before World War 1. Personnel from the Battalion and its predecessors have served in all of the United Kingdom’s modern conflicts, either as formed units or as reinforcements to regular battalions.
